Whether it’s a standard sleeper or Y-sleeper, whether a complicated switch system or a busy track section – thorough tamping of the track system is elementary for track stability and thus also an important factor for economic efficiency.
With three-strand lifting and four-strand tamping, the 09-32 4SY universal tamping machine brings the best quality under the sleepers. Thanks to the longitudinal displacement of the tamping units, it also fulfils this task for the continuous processing of Y-sleepers. But whatever type of sleepers, the machine always achieves first-class results in terms of tamping performance.
A great job with split sleepers
Especially for switches with a length of over three meters, split sleepers are used to keep assembly and transport as uncomplicated as possible. For even more flexibility and usability in the field of track and switch processing, the three-strand lifting device of the 09-32 4SY is laser-supported so that it can also be used for split sleepers.

Modern turnouts, as well as various sleeper types, pose special challenges in track maintenance – but thanks to the 09-32 4SY, there are no problems.
With modern three-strand lifting, the outer strand of a diverter is lifted completely synchronously with the main rope, whereupon the flexible tamping units can plug the entire diverter. Thanks to the laser support, the area of application for rather unusual sleepers does not end at Y-sleepers, but extends to divided sleepers. One machine, countless possibilities.
