Without thorough and goal-oriented preparation, construction projects stand on fragile foundations. The same applies to track construction, which is why the Wiebe Group relies on state-of-the-art measurement technology for track analysis – in the form of the EM-SAT 120 track pre-measurement vehicle.

The four-axle machine ensures efficient and precise work preparation for track preparation. Several measuring points and devices determine the actual track position in cyclical operation. This ensures that the subsequent track work starts exactly where it promises effective benefits in its respective form.

Full Measurement Performance

Enormous forces are constantly acting on tracks: trains weighing several tons travel at tight intervals, weather and climate push the material to its limits. A complete measurement of the tracks – from the track geometry to the ballast profile – is therefore indispensable for maintenance and renewal work. The track pre-measurement vehicle EM-SAT 120 not only has a track measuring device for this purpose, but also equipment for distance measurement, cant measurement and a digital ballast profile measurement system for ballast quantity determination.

Of course, track systems do not only consist of the actual rails; quality factors such as ballast beds and sleepers also literally contribute to smooth rail traffic.

For this reason, we at the Wiebe Group rely on the most careful planning and preparation with regard to the repair of railway lines. With the technology of the EM-SAT 120 track measurement vehicle, we get a detailed picture of the condition of the section to be worked on and know exactly where what needs to be done. This is expedient and ultimately also economical.
