RMW 1500

The Big One

Tracks and rails are important routes for the transport of people and goods. The infrastructure required for this is constantly being expanded, after all, traffic on these routes is continuously increasing. For the safety and usability of the track systems, thorough and efficient ballast cleaning is elementary.

The Wiebe Group meets this task with the RMW 1500 high-performance cleaning machine. With its three screening plants, it is one of the most powerful bedding cleaning machines. The RMW 1500 – a clean affair within the machine park of the Wiebe Group.

More than just clean

In order to achieve the highest possible track end result, the RMW 1500 ballast bed cleaning machine relies on an integrated DGS to stabilize the track position. In addition, the machine is guided on the basis of the target geometry data with the help of an ALC that is also integrated.

The advantages at a glance:

  • Powerful cleaning machine
  • Better use of the closure breaks
  • Transport of materials exclusively on the construction track
  • No impairment of the neighboring tracks
  • Three screening plants for high cleaning quality
  • New ballast paving possible for full bedding excavation

A contaminated track bed is a hazard that should not be underestimated for smooth travel and thus also for the profitability of a track system.

High maintenance costs and expensive disruptions to rail traffic are the result. With the RMW 1500 bedding cleaning machine, we are counteracting this. There are few cleaning machines that combine thoroughness and speed so well. Carrying out 1500 cubic metres of bedding cleaning in one hour and thus creating 700 metres of tunnelling – that probably speaks for itself.
