SSP 110 SW

Ballast grading and profiling machines

The gravel grading and profiling machines of the SSP 110 SW series from Plasser & Theurer are all important high-performance ballast grading machines from the Wiebe Group. Each of them has a steep conveyor belt and a gravel silo as well as an automatic swing out limitation of the flank ploughs. Furthermore, they are suitable for use on both tracks and turnouts.

The SSP 110 SW No. 850 is also approved for steep sections.

The track stabilisation works like the ballast bed itself: different parts interlock via points of contact and thus form a homogeneous structure.

One of these parts of the aforementioned track stabilisation is ballast levelling, because safe rail transport requires a stable and at the same time flexible ballast bed. To do this, gravel has to be spread and brought into the tamping zone, which we can do without any problems thanks to the gravel ploughs of the SSP 110 SW series – even on steep sections.
