Embankment wall in Frankfurt/Oder, Brandenburg

Replacement of a seawall in Frankfurt/Oder, Brandenburg

Service description:
Due to their structural condition, the railway overpasses Oderbrücke and Odervorflut had to be completely demolished and replaced by new buildings.
The EÜ Oder flood was built as a steel trough bridge with 2 bridge sections and a length of approx. 180 m. The expansion lengths on 3-span superstructures (length approx. 120 m) were reduced by a control rod system. The bridge was designed as a composite structure.
For the Oder Bridge, piers and abutments were built flat on the Polish side, but the abutment on the German side was built on 35 bored piles about 30 m long. The dimensioning was due to the construction of the total. 180 m long power field, a 130 m long network arc with 88 carbon trailers. The river field was assembled on a shoring tower in the foreland, moved over the Oder on pontoons with a weight of 2,100 tons and lowered by 1.80 m in the final position. Inside the steel structure, the roadway was concreted, and finally the track for the bridge connecting the countries was built.
The Oder Bridge received the German Bridge Construction Award 2025 for its innovative construction.

Although the three municipalities may be close to each other, it is still important to ensure a smooth networking of the people in the region.

As a track construction specialist, it does not matter to us whether the route to be worked on is long-distance or regional: the track remains the track. And since rail transport plays an important role in passenger and goods transport in the long term, the best quality is the absolute standard in each of our projects. The special feature here: Our new Stopfexpress 09-3X, which we received at the iaf 2017, celebrated its first use here.
