Replacement of the railway overpasses Bahnhofstraße and Börnicker Chaussee in Bernau (near Berlin), Brandenburg
Service description:
The replacement of both railway overpasses was carried out in different construction phases. Construction freedom was created by means of auxiliary cable bridges. In a total closure, the superstructures were excavated and the auxiliary bridges installed. The foundations were made in a sheet pile box with an underwater concrete base. Grouting hoses guaranteed the tightness between the sheet pile wall and the underwater concrete base. After the construction of the abutments and the HB expansion, prefabricated steel superstructures were lifted in. The posts of the noise barrier are floating on a special torsion beam construction.
