Direction and counterdirection
With the help of our modern SUZW-500 rapid conversion machine, track renewal work was carried out on the said rail line over eleven kilometres using the assembly line method. In the same process, more than ten kilometres of subgrade improvement and more than two kilometres of bedding renewal and cleaning were also carried out by two other machines.
The work between Weingarten and Karlsruhe Durlach will be completed by high-quality deep drainage and level crossing work. Extensive track construction work such as this is no problem for the Wiebe Group.
Track work in detail:
- Client: DB Netz AG, Regional Division South
- 11,300 metres of track renewal using the assembly line method
- 4,940 metres of grade improvement using the assembly line method
- Partial bedding renewal and cleaning
- Deep drainage
- Use of the SUZW-500, RPMW 2002 & RPM RS 900

After all, modern rail transport requires optimal use of closure breaks and enabling rail operations to resume as quickly as possible. As with many other track construction projects before, we have also succeeded in doing so between Weingarten and Karlsruhe Durlach. The entire work was completed with the help of three machines from August to September in order to keep the disruption as low as possible.
